I want to know what needs to be done to swap a b16 into a 4dr civic with a 5 speed and 1.5l engine. I also want to know how much hp I would get with a 8psi turbo kit.

No, it will never fit.
And everyone knows that you can't turbo a VTEC!
If you did, you'd get 201whp because 1.6L motors can't make torque.

alright a Turbo B16 engine bay in a 4th gen civic/2nd gen CRX looks like this http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/4/web/268000-268999/268754_50_full.jpg
as for what you would need for the swap.
1. Multi Point Conversions since you have the 1.5 DPFI.
2. a set of motor mounts
3. a B16 complete swap
4. shifter linkage
steps to take.
1. remove old 1.5l
1.5. spit on removed 1.5l
2. clean up engine bay while everything is out.
3. mount rear engine mount in X-member
4. mount Tranny and Motor mount on motor
5. Install rear L-Bracket on Motor
6. carfully drop motor in engine bay... tigten the rear engine mount first.
7. tighten the 2 other mounts.
8. re connect hoses and electrical
9. install axels and linkage
10. put motor oil in motor and tranny fluid in tranny
11. try to fire it up
11.5 troubleshoot if not starting
12. finish up and clean up.
13. take for a ride.

as for turbo, a b16 turbo with 8psi stock give about 250whp if it's done properly... however the b16 has pretty high compession to begin with (10.2-10.4) i would recomend doing a mild build (rods & pistons minimum) to lower the compession to like 9.5:1 and be able to take the aditional HP.
due to frustration and a few minor problems (I found out later) I scapped my turbo project... though I should not have... i took my buddies D15 turbo out for a rip... wow what a nice ride... turbo D15 is faster than a B16... but the transmissions are kinda weak vs. the B series ones.
first and formost, do your homework and take your time... do it right... or do it twice.

the only problem i had with my swap was we had to cut a chunk out of the crossmember and take the air condition out but that was because my 4-2-1 header stuck out to far to keep the fan.

yeah, freaking DUH, gawd. Why would you ever want to have a b16 anyway? They are trash. And everyone knows that if you turbo a vtec it will instanly blow up when vtec spools up.

yes it is a SSautochrome manifold, and before you tell me it's gonna crack, the reason they crack is because most people don't make a flexible down pipe.
last I heard is the person that bought this from me is making like 240whp and 180ft/lbs tq and has not had any problems.

You idiots that think turbocharging a VTEC is impossible are fools. The JDM has been turbocharging them for years, they use the camshift point to increase gas flow to the turbocharger. Why else would Toyota fit VVTi to their 1JZ-GTE engines?

i know what JDM means, what i ment was, why would he put down "The JDM have been turboing them for years..." does he live in Japan and know for a FACT that everyone with a JDM motor is turboing it?? no... so he cant say "the JDM" a more correct term would be people in japan

No, not everyone in Japan is turbo'ing their VTEC motors but yes it is possible, despite a 10+:1 compression ratio... It just means getting the tuning right to stop a melted piston. They use the higher exhaust gas flow of the hi-rpm camshaft to spool up the turbo(as used on the Toyota 1JZ-GTE and Nissan RB25DET NEO) So has anyone got a valid point on why a turbo cannot be fitted to a VTEC motor? Cause I would be quite happy to re-direct you to the JDM Mugen site where they have a turbo exhaust manifold for a B18C VTEC...
Then again, maybe my signature says it all :)
