Finding loose cables

Hi again!

I was hepled in a previous therad by several of you, about the Horn and Crusie control not working? IT IS FIXED thanks to your leads.

Now under the Voyager where the Starter is, I found a non connected wire, about a 10 or 8 gauge very close to the hot one connected to the starter.

It is, at the tip, "Z" shaped covered with hard black plastic and it is allmost exactly as long as the red hot wire connected to the starter I have scratched my head trying to find out where it is supposed to be conected, as It probably goes on top of the hot one and both could probably shouold be connected there, thus the "Z" shaped form, but I have not dared to make the connection. that cable is also "red" colored but the hard plastic cover "Z" is black.

Any Ideas wher it should be connected.

Appreciate any feed back on this

I belive you should have two B+ connections at your starter. One is from the battery and the other is from the alternator. Best bet is to trace out the loose cable and see where it goes.

It seems reazonable, thus the"Z" shape from the other one, that is, not to difficult the superimposing one with the other, but... question:
If that goes to the alternator, the dashboard lights would definetly would give you a sign that something is NOT working properly, like NO CHARGE, or one light flashing of something not working no?.

I am strongly inclined to accept that, on the other hand, if that cable
must be connected somewhere, I am also inclined to find out where, as it was not born with a "no conection" nowhere.
Any way, eventually I will stop another woyager same year and ask the owner politely to let me see under it to find out where that "daug gone" cable is connected.

Regards
