motor swap question

hey i have a 1992 toyota mr2 non turbo 2.2L 5spd, this summer i wanted to do soemthing motor wise with it with out going the turbo or supercharger route, i was thinking about having my motor rebuild and bored out and port polish all that crap, but i dont know how much more hp it would make, right now i think it only has like 130hp, my other idea which i would love to do is get a celica gts vvt-i motor thats in the new celica gts and put that in there because i know it has something like 182 hp, but its matched to a 6spd and i dont know if that owuld even fit my car or what. anyone have any other ideas motor wise, to get more power from it while staying naturally aspired, any other motor swap ideas is basically what im asking. thanks alot

you can't make much HP with the 5SFE, it's designed for economy not power.

i have to agree i hear more and more bout this engine and it sounds like a good idea if u ask me.

V6 = big PROJECT...

5sfe WIT 3sgte HEAD AND TURB MIGHT WORK....

that's a bigger project than a v6...
