Engine Coolant fluid driped off

My Car is a 94 Toyota Camry

Some greenish fluid started draining out from my car,

I opened the hood and saw that it was draining out as if from a small tap.

from radiator there is a about two inch dia pipe going from the bottom -- towards a mechanical part -- I think it is water or coolent pump.

That part was on the left hand side -- when I open the hood and stand in front of my car.

On the immidiate left of the part there are pullys and belts and stuff

Now on this part -- towards the lower half of the front side of this part -- there is a open hole -- half centimeter dia --

May be there is supposed to be a cap or bolt to this hole I dont know --

If some one know about this kindly let me know -- so that I can ask for it in a autoparts shop -- fit it back, fill the coolent and start using my car again.

All the fluid drained out from this hole -- all the coolent went of.

Any body who understood what I tried to explain, kindly suggest me.

Sounds like you lost the drain plug in the radiator. It's a plastic thing, like a big wing nut. Isn't it there? Doesn't sound like it's there. Go get a new one from the dealer or junkyard.

Thank you, but as I already explained -- the fluid was not leaking from th erdiator drain plug -- its not from the radiator --- I explained in my post the location from where its draining.

Its not on the radiator -- its on a part adjacent to the pulleys, belts etc -- i think the hole is in the water pump.

I have a 92 Camry, and replaced my bottom radiator hose the otherday so I know the part you're talking about however unfortunately I cna't realy go look for referrence on my car right now becaus eit's dark outside. I'll take a look tomorrow.

So you say the coolant didn't leak from this small hole? It may just be a depressed cavity that you can't see inside of that simply contains a bolt. Like I said Ill have to look. I would recommend refilling your engine with water, and then runnig it and observing to see where the fluid is leaking from. If it is indeed from that area, it may be the same problem I had. That 2 inch diameter hose you're referring to is the bottom radiator hose and cost about 12 bucks to get a new one and clamps from bennet auto suply or pep boys or something like that.

I found it kind've hard to follow your description though, am I correct when I say you don't know where it's leaking from?

I'lll check out my car tomorrow. I have the V6XLE, the same engine they put int he lexus es300 at the time, so it may be slgihtly different if you have the 4 cylinder but I should be able to figure something out.

Sound like you have a water pump failure.Water pump is equipped with weep or vent hole. If a failure occurs in the pump seal, coolant will leak from this hole.If this is the case you will have to replace the pump with a rebuilt or brand new one.It takes almost the same amount of time to replace the water pump as replacing the timing belt.That is why I always replace the water pump when ever I replace the timing belt. good luck

Yes thats the problem, something wrong with the waterpump -- so started leeking from the weephole.

So for the info of all friends who tried to help me -- it seems -- when a water pump fails/pump seal fails -- this weep hole is provided so that the coolent is drained out from this hole -- so that coolent is prevented from going in/on other parts.

I replaced my car water pump, it seems the timing belt is perfect, -- else I would have replaced the complete timing belt kit. Replaced the drive belt(which runs the alternator) though -- was in bad shape.

Yes..... go with Moonshine's suggestion and replace both the waterpump and timing belt....

Water pumps are cheap too. I think I paid $30. The cost is all labor, or a full day of bending wrenches.
