Throtel body bypass

Yesterday I looked at a couple coolant hoses under the throtel body, which by the way were leaking and I though what if i conect them together. I have heard of coolant bypasses to run a bit cooler air. How is it properly done on a 2.8MFI? How save is it, those hoses are there for
some reason maybe?

One more question, whats the normal running temperature for a 6? Tired of running hot

The main purpose for them is to keep the TB from icing up in cold dlimates, as long as it is reasonable warm where you are you shouldn't have a problem.

Engines run best at around 180-210 or so, ball park figure. Your fan should kick on at about 225 at the highest. My 3.4L usually runs between 180-200 unless I am standing still a lot, but I live in MN.

so if the engine is hot it basicaly robes some hp?
Is there any posibility of getting the tb cracked like that

If the engine is too hot it robs HP, but they run best warmed up. As far as cracking the TB, I'm not sure I hear about people doing it all the time and was considering it myself so I don't think it would be common.

Normal operating temperature for an engine usually between 180-210,
but that's not when a engine runs best. Always, and I mean always,
the cooler the better. My '95 vette's initials the fans at 186 degrees and
turns them off at 166.

No, that is complete bullshit. Engines run best at operating temperature, that is when you get complete combustion. They are designed to run at certain temps and the cooling system is setup to ensure that they run at the correct temperature. Your previous statement is horrible, cooler is ALWAYS better? So an engine that has been sitting in 20 weather will run better than an engine that is at operating temperature? COME ON, don't be stupid. If you really mod cars like you said in another thread I'll make sure to never bring my car by there for anything.
