ok...I need some help! I just bought a 2005 dodge grand caravan....have had it about 2 weeks, less then 500 miles on it. I had a freak thing happen tonight....I parked and turned the van off and pushed the button on the console inside to open the power sliding doors and nothing happened. I tried to use my remote key and it didn't work either. I started the van back up and I had lost alot of the dash instruments....couldn't tell if I was in park or drive, gas gauge said nothing, speedometer didn't work....seemed like all the power was gone but it started and seem to run fine. Turned it off, checked the fuses and then started it again. All the instruments were back and most of the power but then the check engine light is staying on??? I know that it will come on becuase of the OMD II system but any clue what happened? Concerned now that I have just recently purchased this vehicle. Thanks!

Take it back to the dealer to have it fixed, it's a new car isn't it?

Get rid of it ASAP! Your problems are just beginning. I also have an 05', and even though mine has never done anything like that, the drivers side window works part time, and after waiting a few minutes, it works again. I can't wait to get rid of my piece of plastic!
