QUESTION : are the rims painted the same color of the car or is it just a light effect ?

Apparently they were body color while the car was in the possession of it's previous owner. I assume that's when these photos were taken unless Chris can tell us otherwise.

I'm not actually sure. I'll see if i can find out.

Are you talking about the part where your back should be? Thats the way some seats were made. The leather is seperated in some cars.

The grey stuff used for the seat inserts is probably a material called alcantara.

Wow is that interior clean! One thing I noticed is that there doesn't appear to be a GM signature in front of the key. Maybe it's just not showing up.
I like the body-colored wheels.

Usually, the signature's on the other side, from what I have seen.

The wheels were painted same as body colour by previous owner (we all know who this is by now i'm sure), but the current owner had them repainted silver
There is no tear to the leather on drivers seat... the previous owner had an additional leather flap sewn on seat to stop wear on seat during entry...

A similar looking flap can been seen on 069.

I'm not seeing anything in that photo like what is seen in this one:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v482/Peloton25/McLaren%20F1/7a85c1eb.jpg
In the shot from #009, it seems like the seat covering has been pulled out of the gap between the padding and the backrest.

From the 2-3 signatures that I have seen it's been on the right - in front of the shifter. The first 13 cars were supposedly signed but GM must have signed some more and probably in lots of different places. I'd have him sign my forehead (in eraseable ink of course...).

Australia - its the same F1 that showed up at the Melbourne Grand Prix a couple of months back. It's previous owner was in the same area of Australia.

It looks like a completely separate piece that is just sitting in the seat. Probably a panel or cover for some other part.

Thats incorrect they are in completely different states.
The previous owner suggested the idea of the extra flap to reduce wear on the extortionate leather.. I don't know if those pictures were meant for the public.

Well then, we'll be sure to tell everyone not to publicize them. Once it's out of the bag, it's out of the bag, mate. :D
Interestingly, Koenigsegg covered up some beautiful prepreg carbon fibre in the middle dash area because the surface was too hard and would have hurt occupants in a crash. And they also feel that their suspension is much better than the ground plane shear axis concept used in the McLaren. Wonder if they feel their doors are superior too?!

I think you could say the same thing of a lot of the stuff that ends up in our forum. Is there really any harm done by sharing a set of photos? I know Chris didn't steal these in some viscious cyber-attack so I'd say someone must not have minded sharing them.

it doesn't bother me at all but it might bother the other owner.. I know the owner wouldn't appreciate the exposure and the permission to post was most likely granted by an individual oblivious to that fact.
It's only a statement not an argument.

I think the matching wheels look wonderful with this paint color. Certainly unique and different, but maybe not to the new owner's tastes. Either way the car looks great.
Here's a fresh shot of #009 - in some pretty good company I might add. Sorry there aren't anymore shots available of this pair:

The orange GTR wheels look pretty good on the blue cars. And of course black and anthracite wheels look fabulous. In general, I think silver, anthracite, or black wheels look great. Painted wheels in other wheels can look good, but one would have to be careful not to look too gaudy. I think they would look good only on race cars that are stickered up and wearing bright ,colourful livery.
