This is honda related, but I figured you american car guys would know better.

Installing some transmission parts i had a bit of a mistake and chipped a gear, do you think this will make noise?

I think it should be ok. Just wondering, was the mistake hitting it with a hammer? A gear really shouldn't chip like that, even if it was hit fairly hard.

I wouldnt use it, If ya do take a cut off wheel and knock the edges of around the chip
