ABS controller failure on 99 Grand Voyager

Wondering if anybody has experienced ABS controller failure on their 99 Voyager. The ABS light has been on for about 2 months and the mechanic told me the controller is shot. Will be approx. $1000 cdn. to fix. I haven't talked to Chrysler yet but wanted to know if anyone knows of any technical service bulletins for this problem.
