I am looking for information from someone that knows of an aftermarket supercharged v6 camaro. I have already looked into using the GM supercharger, but I would have to have so much customization done to the supercharger and my car it wouldn't be worth it. However I have been hinted at, to place an aftermarket supercharging kit on my car. I am just looking for someone with knowledge of the costs and benefits of performing this action.

maybe check out RK sport, thats the only place i know of that would have something like that, although a turbocharged setup is probly going to be more likely for your engine.

Powerdyne. It's sold on rksport.com, but check ebay and camarov6.com because there's people selling their super and turbo kits all the time.

Keep in mind if you are running a SuperCharger or a Turbo you would need to get all your engine's internals forged so you don't broke it up from all the extra strain on the engine after a few days.

my internals are not forged....
cast pistons, cast crank, cast main caps, cast rods......
:icon16:
With forged internals, you can just be more careless with spark knock, over boost, and high EGT's (Exhaust Gas Tempatures) With cast stuff, you just have to be very vigalant about your knock sensor and your air fuel raito

No your internals arn't forged but you DO have internals MADE for a turbo. (3800 I-Series vs 3800 II-series Buick)
Huge difference. =P Smart ass. But thank you for pointing out the difference between forged and cast.

accually the only difference between my swinging assembly and the NA 3.8 swingin assembly is the fact that my pistons have a steel inserts in the skirt and crown...

Check out http://media.firebirdv6.com/vectorsupercharger.html it is copied from GM High Tech Performance. They are installing a Vector VP-6 supercharger on a 3800, it has pics and a writeup of the install
