remove cat and resonators ?

Hi I would like to know if I can increase Hp only by removing my cat and the resonators. I have a stock eshaust system on My GSX 99. I also heard that if i put a strait pipe a the place of my cat the check engine light will be on, is this true ?

Yes, but you won't pass emissions.

No, just pull out the O2 sensor, wrap it in Al foil and hang it up out of the way.
