85 new to me

i just got an 85 camaro it has a V6 was running when parked. But it's been sitting for almost 2 years. anyone know a good motor i could put in it. i know i can fix the V6 but i would like a V8. i don't have much money to put into the motor. about 500.00 for a used one.

swapping a V8 into a sixer car is not a budget project. If youve only got 500 to work with, your going to have to fix the sixer.

i know a guy that has an 350 out of an 88 camaro. would that fit the trans thats hooked up to the V6?
