Broken Wheel studs on 97

Hello, is there anyone that can tell me what I need to do to change broken wheel studs on a 97 4x4.

Just go to the local parts store and buy how many you need. They're about a $1 each. If they're broke I'm guessing that they are stuck in the lug nuts, so you'll need new lugnuts too. You will need an 18mm wrench. This would be a good time to change the brakes if they are worn.

1) remove the wheel

2) remove the caliper (2 bolts aka guide pins)

3) remove the mounting bracket (2 bolts)

4) tap around the rotor (from the back, be careful so you don't damage it!) and it should come right off

5) hit the broke wheel studs with a hammer and they will pop out

6) put the new wheel studs in

7) put the rotor back on

8) bolt the mounting bracket back on

9) push the pistons on the caliber back in a little so the pads will slide over the rotor

10) clean the caliper mounting bolts and lube them

11) mount the caliber

12) put the tire back on
