bybassing vats 91 firebird

HELP!!!!

Someone tried to still my firebird, and now I have this big gapping hole where the ignition is. If I put a pair of pliers in it I can crank it, but it won't start without the vats on the key. I need to know how to bypass the vats system so I can start my car!! Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Thank YOU!! 1991 Pontiac Firebird "F" body 3.1

get an ohm meter and get the resistance from yer key go to radio shack and get a matching resistor and plug it in under the dash the wiers should be white(2) in a orange sleave
