Audiobahn Subs

Ive heard nutin but good bout Audiobahn subs...especially from Sparq. He said they betta then JL's in his opinion. But i dunno. I just want 1 high power sub that handles really good to bump sum rap. So most likely one 12" sub arund 800-1000watts RMS. Is a one high power sub better then 2?

there are definatley good subs to pick from out there...audiobahn are good . i've heard the alum 12x which are NICE and a set of some other model which i wasn't THAT fond of...
I have alpine type R's which bump pretty nice .. JL are always good but everyone has em...
you should be fine with one sub..

i remember checkin out reviews for the ALUM 12" sub and a lot of people said that the sub would blow and they would have to send it back to audiobahn. So it makes me think twice you know. I think it was carstereoreview.com or somthing, dont remember. The ALUM looks so nice.

The "subwoofer blowing" was last years stuff -- the glue on the woofer surround wasnt a proper mix and it caused the cones to literally get blown off the woofers. The problem has since been fixed, and it will be the last time Audiobahn tires to use some radical cost saving glue on their woofers :finger:

You want 800-1000 rms -- go Audiobahn, you wont be disapointed. But remember, two woofers will play just as loud if not even louder then the one. I say could play louder because it depends if you are talking two LIKE models... like, one Alum12x at 1000 RMS or TWO Alum12x @ 500 rms each -- the two subs would play louder!

ohhhhhh! but i dont want to take up space in the trunk. I mean I want to take the least amount of space so ill prolly just go with 1 sub. Prolly the ALUM 12". Does it really put out 1000RMS or is it just audiobahn tryin to make their subs look good? Anywayz, bandpass sucks, u told me b4 that i should go with Ported. I listen to rap. Whats tha advantages of ported and whats the disadvantages?

get something either single 2 ohm or dual 4 ohm. or a dual 2 ohm....then you can run a nice cheap ass class d amp and there ya go..

ok what aboutget 2 Audiobhn Aw1200 subs? they put out like 700rms each..and itll go louder since they're 2 subs rigght? All the reviews are good bout em, so.....wat kind aamp would i need for those?

(i suck at amps) Audiobahn A1300HCx would be nice -- keeps all the stuff audio, makes the install cleaner... and that amp would give 600 rms to each woofer, and yes it would bang VERY VERY loud! Dont forget you will also need 1 farad capacitor for every 1000 watts, or you could just get a BatCap...

Audiobahn has some KILLER shit for this year -- I would buy it hands down over anything else right now. Got the looks, and the performance to back it up!

adire audio shiva is freaking nice too cheap as hell but needs a big box...DOES NOT require high amounts of power...(from what i heard)

where exactly are you from in cali. i know a few place that sells audiobahns...

i have (had) 4 audiobahn 12s (aw1251x) in my hatchback (tho currently only one installed, took the rest out for now)
i like them, but personally i think i like JL subs better. i wanna sell my current setup, and scoop up a handful of JL 10s.
dont get me wrong, the audiobahns pound like a motherfucker, and sound good, but i just like the sound of JL subs..seems like a tighter bass to me.

Sorry but you wont be getting 1000 watts to each sub -- that amp puts out 2000 watts @ 1 ohm... TWO ALUM12x subwoofers will only get you a 1.5 ohm load -- which means you are only going to be shooting 1500 rms total, which is 750 rms per subwoofer -- hopefully TheZeb didnt tell you that you would be getting 1000 rms per woofer! :lol2:

He asked about the differant sub models -- not about 10's ... AW1200 would be your best bet, we installed one in my buddy's sisters car and we were in his garage, cranked it -- and it shoot a ladder off the wall! Crazy woofer man!
