RPM's and auto trannys

is there a limit in how high a 700-r4 can be turned? I was considering building a high winding v8 (cuz i like the sound) and i was considering my options as far as transmissions go.

Normally the engine would fail before the transmission would due to high rpms, I cant say as i know of a spesific transmission redline. I think if you build it with quality parts, and do it up right, you wont have any problems related to the transmission at high speeds.

Make sure you have a way to keep it cool, otherwise it is much more likely to fail.
