What are the pros and cons of each setup?
Wouldn't a re-routed o2 dump back into the exhaust be the best way to go for sending all of the exhaust right out of the muffler?
From what I have read, it seems the drawback with the external is that it would be loud as hell.
I found a 3" turbo back (after the o2 housing) exhaust with test pipe pre-made onto to bypass the cat for $180
Then at another site I found a full 3" o2 eliminator/downpipe/test pipe (internal o2 or external) for $400
What would you get?

I don't like the idea of an external o2 dump, because all of that hot exhaust air is sitting in your engine compartment, and secondly it sounds like your car is dry-heaving. There are some sound clips on DSMtuners.com if you search for them.

An external dump on an internally gated turbo is useless and silly, if you ask me. For one, you're going to get that loud ass external sound even at part-throttle boost levels since internals open slowly a little at a time instead of a really quick opening like an externally gated turbo. So an external dump on an externally gated turbo is fine in my book, but not with an internally gated turbo.
Go with the 3" turbo-back for $180 and don't get the o2 dump.

To put it simply, small gates are loud and harsh, large gates are quieter and deeper. My tial 38 sounds 10000 times better than the externally dumped 14b did. A lot less obnoxious.

Ok, that is cleared up, I will go with the $180 one.
Here is great question from me (but probably sounds like a dumb newbie question to all of you) will this pipe bolt right up with no leaks to my stock o2 housing and muffler???? it say's it is a 3" throughout the piping, to a 2.5" inlet.

Thanks!!!
