Give this a read. It starts off a bit slow, but keep going and you'll find its a very pleasing way to spend a spare half hour

wasn't there a very similar type of story posted a few months ago. The only diffrence was this was about a creapy hole some guys found while exploring caves, they both just built up a great story and end right before the best part...AAAAARRRRGGGGHHHH I hate these damn stories.

But this dude did an excelent job, he used the main site, some little girls live journal, and a seperate blogg.. almost very believeable.

^Travis the caver

I read all the comments on everything so, I found out a lot. Apparently this story is similar to the House of Leaves, w/e that is.

Sounds interesting, but half an hour?? I'd rather delude myself into thinking my time is worth more than spending half an hour reading some story on the internet.

which it probably isn't :dunno:

No

And House of Leaves is a fantastic book. It's a book about a book about a book about a home video. The video is of a professor somethingorother who, while investigating his new home, finds that it is larger on the inside than it is on the outside. Not only by a quarter inch, but they find a doorway that should lead to the backyard, but it turns out leads to a hallway which leads to an area larger than an entire city and leads down farther than the height of the Petronas towers.

Lots of labyrinth mythology and loads of symbols and footnotes and edits make it one of the most intense reads ever. I can't even describe in words what the book is like, you just have to pick it up.

Oh, and its about 900 pages or so, packed from the top to the bottom with text. Enjoy spending a good 2 months reading it.

^No, it's 750+ pages. I just bought online along with it's "sequel"...kinda. But this was a very good read online. Kept me entertained with my insominia and I got to scare Kate! :D sorry kate!

This would have been a lot better if we foud it last year when it started. That why we didn't just read through it, but I loved it!

Thats kinda creepy. Ending is too abrupt though, and Im kinda confused.

Did you read the updates, blog and live journal, etc?

Ted the caver was fun to read, but not nearly as well done as the house story (When I first started reading the Dionaea House, I was under the impression that the e-mails were real)... Even from the very start, the caver story "journal" was just not believable, but if you can suspend disbelief, then it's not a bad read although lengthy/verbose at times.
