93 Acceleration Problem

When in park or neutral engine runs smooth at all rpm's when I put it in drive and pull out still good, but as soon as I press the pedal over a 1/4 of the way down it will start bucking and almost dying out. As long as I keep light pressure on the pedal all is good any suggestions?

Had the same problem some time ago. Replaced plugs and wires with good, quality parts. Problem solved. Also check for leaky coils. You might find some very tiny cracks near the coilpak corners. Lastly, check for leaky injectors. The smell of gas would be evident after you shut down the car, and the gas leaks onto the engine. My bet is on plugs and wires though.
