Edit - Hi, here's a good idea, lets put two different colors of paint down each side of the car and put in a pretty gay flambuoyant interior to match.

It'll look good in car shows but the car would just have looked so much better with a black/dark red scheme or a silver/blue scheme

There's now 3 forums on this topic. Two in the non performance section and one in the intro/general section. I personally don't like the way it looks. Rather have one color rather than a split with one side red and one side blue.

Omg I wanted to induce vomitting watching that.

Pretty much the ONLY good thing on the car was the paint, which was pretty nice.

Mistake #1: Ditching the 5Zigen exhaust for duals.

#2: Gay paint

#3: Bodykit

#4: Wheels were good, but needs to be lowered to accent wheels better

Well one good thing that will come out of this is....
The show encourages rice on a broad scale and exposes the masses to it.

The more ricers out there, the less money spent on actual go fast mods, the faster your car is.

Still though...... They could do SO much better.

What I was thinking is where the fuck is he going to park that? LOL when i told my parents that a 2g was on pimp my ride they were like turbo or non-turbo, and sat down to watch it with me. I have tought them well.

Damn i really wanted to see it but i had work. Does anyone know if and when they are goin to replay it? From reading this forum, im guessing its really bad, but hey, its always fun to get a kick outta seeing some bad lookin cars, kinda.....

The paint was cool. i would rather have gone with different colors. Other than that wtf. i don't want my car reminding me of my work (conveyour belt thing). The interior would have been so much better without the two colors. Hey when you aren't paying for it i guess you don't have a choice. One last thing what happened to the quarter panel and the bumper?

hell my car looks better than that. They should have painted the middle break light, and put on a turbo wing spoiler.

I just think it was sad to see a dsm in such shitty shape... that kid didn't deserve to have it pimped out....turbo or NT...
I wish PMride would do more than THE SAME THING to everyones car... like maybe some basic mods like intake .. strut bars.... NOT PSP's that slide back'n'forth on a stupid belt system... I mean cmon!!!(I think that was the clipse)They have the right idea with some of the shit(the mexican that does interior work is pretty good) but still that show has gotten pretty lame... you see the one with the chicks Toyota van.... they put a TV in the back for the dogs? puh-leeeeze...toyota..oh what a feeling....
I don't watch it anymore...

Do you mean Overhauling on TLC? Thats a pretty good show, except that I don't think they have done anything other than American muscle cars.

I have to agree, splitting the paint like they did was pretty gay. The PSP thing was probably the stupidest thing I have ever seen done in the back of someones car. What I am really appalled by is the way the kid had it before they pimped it. How can someone let a car get like that? I mean damn, that is horrible.

I heard that they make you sign a contract for like 3 years that you can't sell the car. I think this happened after they did that kid's 240sx.. I think he tried selling it on ebay or something.

Ya, well if you have noticed, most of the people who get their cars "pimped", are teens to maybe early 20 year olds. I don't think MTV would like a lawsuit if they make a crazy perfomance car for a kid, then he goes and wrecks it and either gets seriously hurt, or even killed. And if you ever watched the show I mentioned above, Overhauled on TLC, most of the people are adults, and they trust them with the performace aspect of rebuilding the car up.

True...True...despite the fact that PMR does completely impratical things to cars that need to be replaced and not fixed up, it is still mildly entertaining to watch. And age I can imagine, like you said, being a possible problem. I never caught overhauled but I remember wanting to watch it to check it out

I think that you're thinking of tuner transformation on the speed channel. That has to be the ugliest eclipse that i have ever seen. I that thing was pimped it was broke pimped

I think the red paint looks o.k. but even from that side angle the front bumper looks terrible. The paint would be better w/o the designs and contrasting blue paint.

On a similar note, I think they could find somebody better than xzibit to be the host of that show. He is getting pretty lame, they show him walking around outside for like 5 minutes, and then he totally rags on these poor ppl's cars that they really can't do anything about. SOME of the cars on there deserve to get ragged on because they are just not taken care of, but the others are like poor college kids just tryin to get by, and he comes in like hes god or something and tells them what a piece of shit their car is. Get a life xzibit, your fuckin gay, and make some real music and maybe mtv won't have to bail you out by giving you PMR in the first place.

Sorry i had to vent, this was just bothering me ever since I saw the first episode. Turned me off right away, that and the retarded shit they do to cars. That money could be MUCH better spent on actually pimping the cars out, not making them look like circus cars.
