Why so much more expensive?

Is it just me, or is the Trans Am a lot more expensive than a z-28? Aren't they essentially the same car? (I'm talking about the newer styles for each).

The Z-28 is the 'bottom' model Camaro with the LS1. Trans Am isn't, the Formula is.
For Camaro's it goes......V6 Camaro-->Camaro Z-28-->Camaro SS
For the Firebirds.....V6 Firebird-->LS1 Firebird Formula-->Trans Am-->WS.6 Trans Am-->Firehawk
There are more models of Firebird, and less made of the Trans Am. That would probably be the reasoning.

It mighta helped if I had realized also that the newer style of firebird starts in 98 and not 00. Stupid me. :rolleyes:
