Why do you want to burn-out? I find it mostly pointless on a FWD car. It wastes tires, creates pollution from tire smoke, puts stress on drive train and other parts of the car. I have been to the quarter mile track, and burning out before the race did not help me one bit. There was a compound down on the ground that was sticky, so it wasn't necessary (ps- I could launch from 5.5k!!! it was awesome).
If you really want to do a burn-out, then simply press gas to 4k and let clutch out quickly. That should do it. Just be careful as you keep pressing the gas that you don't slide into anything. You can slide foward, backwards, side to side. You can minimize the sliding if you pull the e-brake and then go for it. Just for the record, burning-out is not an action I recommend or condone.

when i was learning to drive my stick i found it very easy to chirp the tires, lol, but now, not such a good idea, like the dude said above, it isn't good for your tires and whatnot, plus, more smoke show with a rear wheel....
but have at it :)

burn outs look stupid as hell if you don't have an LSD. that one tire fire bullshit stops me from doing burn outs.

LSD's are awesome. Unfortunately, only the type R came with a limited slip differential. If one wheel slips, the LSD will compensate and give less power to it, and more to the other wheel, therefore increasing overall grip greatly. It makes a huge difference with RWD cars, and it can make a big difference in FWD during cornering
