Wanted: GSX or TSI

Does anyone know where I can find a 2g GSX or TSI in NY, NJ, CT, or PA????

(Not looking for a lot or any mods) so around 5K

Hmmm... Not to be an ass about this, but GOOD LUCK trying to find a 2g gsx/tsi awd with little to no mods for $5k in good condition. If anyone on this forum knew about one, for that cheap, I seriously don't think they would tell anyone, so they could jump on the deal lol. If you really want a 2g gsx/tsi awd, prepare to either find one that is fairly modded, high miles, or doesn't run right, or you can just get really really lucky and find a nice one. :2cents:

If your budget is only allowing around $5k, maybe you should look into a 1g gsx/tsi awd.

I wish I could go to a dealership with 5 grand and say I want a 99 GSX with under 70,000 miles and little or no mods, and have them just poop one out.

Check the newspaper, internet, and different car classifieds magazines.

OR, you could go to a dealership, talk to the guy that goes to the auctions, and tell him what your looking for. For a small fee, he will probably be able to find one similar to what you want in 2 or 3 months.

Or buy mine mildly modded for 6k. They are out there for 5k, but understand that 5k is less than what my 95 books for depending on a few factors. Usually you get a toilet when you try to cheap out :)

I had to drive down to Deleware from New York to find a Tsi with the same price range as you.My advice is buy as many auto shoppers as you can and keep a look out for cars in parked with for sale signs on them.

there is one here in the paper, 97 GSX 54k miles, 5-speed, asking blue book of 8300. location Erie, PA. if you are interested PM me, i'll give you the phone # etc

Okay, cheaping out is not exactly the issue. I've already looked everywhere that everyone's suggested, I'm not knew to car shopping. I've found tons of them that are exactly what I'm looking for that ARE 5K or less, but the problem is, they're either across the country (or ya know, way toooo far away) or green, which I am not settling for. (Yes I have considered getting a paint job, but I don't think it's worth it). So I'm just trying to find one around NJ, NY, CT, or PA. That's what I need help with- I do appreciate all the input.

I would just pay the extra grand and get Kevin's (95GSXRacer) that way you know the mods have been done right and the car has been taken care of. I would trust that over someone that I have never met, well, I guess I have never met Kevin, but whatever.

I think Kevin is in Mass, so it really isn't that far from CT. Check out his other thread, he did say something about being willing to deliver based on distance. Maybe you could meet part way
