i have a 2001 grand am GT 3.4 and when im driving it feels like its chuggin like its not getting enough gas. When it does it my odometer fluctuates too. Someone told me it was the Fuel Pressure Regulator. Anyone know what it could be?

Check the fuel pressure at the fuel pressure regulator to make sure it is in specification. Sometimes at WOT the pressure will drop causing you to lose power. Secondly, you could have problems developing with an exhaust blockage. Finally you may be looking at a fuel pump replacement. I would start with the fuel pressure regulator first, least expensive and easiest to replace.

I agree with GTP dad. - And when you're checking your fuel pressure regulator, your pressure should be 40 to 42 PSI - anywhere in there is good. You may have a crack or break in the vacuum line that runs into the top of the regulator if it's not the regulator itself.
