I am looking to change the exhaust systems on my 2000 2500 silverado and never thought it would be this complicated. One shop said use one muffller that has 2 in and 2 out because mine already has 2 pipes and 2 converters another said use 2 mufflers and then I would have true duals but then I herard that setup would cause performance problems Any advice or comments also I pull a camper should I run the pipes out the back or side?

True dual exhaust is the only way to go. It gives you a lot better sound and exhaust flow. Having less restriction due to two seperate system will make more power than running it all through one muffler. If you pull a camper or anything like that on a regular basis you will definatly want them going out the side or you'll have black stains on what ever your pulling. My pipes both exit in front of the passenger side tire, I just didnt wanna have mine out the back cuz everyone else does.
