hahahaha! sinking shopping cart! :D that one is awesome!
those are some pretty sweet pictures!
only suggestion, find a little tripod or a monopod... something for stability when you do longer time exposures at night.

Already in the plans :D
I've asked my father (who is a life-long keen photographer) for a good tripod for my birthday in a half-month, so I expect I'll have one then. I had to improvise with the night shots - the harbour bridge, the road, the river, and the oars were all with the camera on a railing. For the "Octagon," I had the camera on the ground with one side of the camera resting on my foot for a bit of a tilt. The Cayenne and shopping cart were both with the camera on the ground. :)
The shopping cart photo ended up being my favorite as well, even though it was not one of my planned photos - I was just walking past and thought it would be a sweet photo (same with the Cayenne). BTW, Jay, it's a shopping cart/trolley/whatever half-submerged into the river :)

Sweet. I was too busy looking for where the water started to notice that the trolley was in the damn river :icon16:

excellent work Mark. see what i meant about night photography making things look totally different? the pic of the trolly in the river would have been dull and uninteresting during the day, but it's transformed during the night. a good tripod will improve your techinique and give you more freedom.
keep at it :)

those look really good, love the night shots. Do you happen to have the bridges in 1280x1024?

I've got all the pictures in 2816x2112 format ;) Any of them that you want (I can size them to 1280x1024 for you if you would like), just let me know :)
