Hi! Just looking for some advice. I have a 1999 Oldsmobile Alero, not sure of the model, but it's a 4-cylinder automatic with 4 doors. A few weeks ago smoke started coming out of my steering wheel, so I took it in and the hazard and blinker switches needed to be replaced and they had to do some rewiring. Well, about a week later everything on the dash quit working, the speedometer, the gas gauge, RPM gauge, the lights, all of it. My husband checked all of the fuses and they are good. Any ideas? I really love this car, but it's starting to fall apart.

Take it to the dealership. if they fixed it once, they will fix it agine. they should not charge you agine. I would not play in there what so ever. you could try something and it could cause a fire, even worse, your airbag could go off, you and could hurt yourself. alot of wires are connected to the airbag. if you toutch the wrong wire, like take off a wire, BANG, it will go off. i highly recomend you do not toutch it. i would take it to the dealer for your own saftey. tell them what you have told me! Please do the right thing. Be safe.
