Finally bought my Camaro!!!!

After 6 long, long, long, school-bus filled months of looking for a Camaro, I bought one today. It's a 1994 3.4L V6, 141000 KM, absolutely mint condition except for a small dent in the front right fender that the dealer said they'd take out for me. The price, which I know you guys will say is too expensive, was 6900 before taxes, 8000 after. That's Canadian. But frankly, that's what I was going to have to pay here if I wanted that car. There were absolutely none cheaper than that, I'm serious. The car drives so nice, I got the t-tops off on the drive home and it was so sweet. It's red, with a mint condition black-grey cloth interior. A/C, power everything.
I'm actually so happy right now. I'll post some pictures up tommorow afternoon (too dark to take any now).
I'd like to thank everybody who helped me out over these 6 months, especially phillyrs, you were a great help. :D

Heh, it started raining on the ride home and I got incredibly bent...the car was practically sideways. Fortunately there was nothing around and I got it under control pretty quickly. Scared the SHIT outta me though. I'm not experienced with driving it enough to feel confident getting THAT bent. ;)
By the way...coming out of a couple stops, the RPM's and the needle jumped up momentarily to like....60 km when I was only going like 20. This was probably just because the tires were spinning on the wet ground right? I couldn't really tell if they were or not...had the system (stock system kicks ass by the way) turned up pretty loud. :D

nothing wrong with autos, man. Congrats on the new ride. It took me a long time to find mine, too.

im glad to see you got your car man, i cant wait to see pics. let me give u a tip that will go a long way.... when its wet out or raining you want to make your turns slower than u would normaly. rear wheel cars want to slide the ass around on you, and it aint hard to do. i watched a guy in a old z do it a month ago with 30 day tags on it. ran right up on the side walk, he was lucky nobody was turning with him, he looked scared shitless when he came to a stop. just remember that, oh and dont mash the gas down when u take off from a dead stop when it wet either, as u found out she will go sideways on you, v8's are worse because of all the power. so just be easy with her untill u get to know her limits.

Philly, i know what you mean. Yesterday when it was raining, that happened to me, the ground was just a little wet, and i mashed the gas just a little bit, taking a left turn, and i was like a fish in the ocean it was fun, cuz im gettin the hang of controlling it when it happens. Godd thing nobody was behind me.

What do the milage and cost exchange to in American numbers? I'm just curious about the market for them up there...

Yeah, that happens all the time with me just there is a difference with ASR, a HUGE difference. Ive lost control in the rain at intersections a few times and weaved into the other lane... I was kinda giving it more gas than I should have and I knew it but no cars were around and I wouldnt do it around other cars in the rain. But with ASR it just takes the gear off for a second or somthing and you are right back in control.... You however may want to turn ASR off for the following things: being stuck in a ditch or pothole, burning out/smoke show, power braking, donuts, and drag racing.

What does ASR mean? Btw, sometimes i scare people behind me when i'm first in line at a stop light. It really doesn't take much for our cars to burnout in the rain, i barely tap the gas and the damn car is peeling out like crazy!!

ASR sounds a lot like traction control. All traction control does is stall out the engine when you're spinning the tires, sorta like a speed limiter does when you hit the top speed. And the '94's don't have traction control for spining out, just when the anti-lock brakes engage.

accelerated slip regulation... basically just traction control

Yeha spinning out... Even when its dry my 3.8 likes to go sideways alot even with a little gas on a 30mph turn. *Shrug*

What condition are your tires in Xeno? If you lose traction like that seems like you need new rubber. I know I had issues like that before I got my new tires.

I can spin the too but not around corners unless I am starting at a dead stop... I got these stupid P rated tires, I need H rated tires but they are pretty expensive and I just dont have that much money
