first thing i did thismorning when i woke up that i had planned all week is to install my boost gauge which i did and kinked the stupid plastic hose so i had to run to get a new one and that went good. took her for a spin and ran 10/11 psi flat all the way to redline just like it should no spikes or drops. so i thought ok good, after driving around for lunch and to get a ride in spoolin69's awd laser i headed home to tackle the install of my MBC. It was an ebay one that was cheap i opened it and it only had a spring and 1 ball so i put it on as everyone said with the side nipple attached to the wastegate actuator and bottom to the nipple on the compressor housing(the lazyman's way). i took her for a run and wound it up to 20+ psi so i took it back and readjusted the screw as far as i could before the stupid screw fell out again like 25psi, turned the screw all the way in and again 25psi, took it off and reversed how it was connected and retried all combos of screw adjustment and routing of vaccum lines. there wasent one combo i didnt try with it!! it was really making me mad as i kept going around the block about 11 differnt times and took my intake and everything off 11 times to get to the area and whatnot. so i got fed up enough that i took the screw out and put the ball on the top side of the spring insted and put it back on, this time it was stock 10psi, so i turn the controller all the way up to see if theres a differnce...NOPE 10psi again! so again i tried 6 differnt combos with screw and wiring configs and nothing they all were at 10psi and i noticed when i turned the screw in it didnt change any pressure of me blowing on it and the screw wouldnt go in further then about 3 full rotations if it only baraely goes in i think its broken which sucks. anyway to top it off i then took it for a highway run and noticed as soon as i hit 4500-5000rpm the boost started to drop off rapidly when i was at 6800rpm it went all the way down to 6psi!! it was pretty obvious that the mbc was/is trash because the only thing that changed was that, beofre that it was a flat 10psi all the way up. so looks like its time for a new MBC, i was looking at the JoeP's and whatnot but found a friend with a brand new turbo xs mbc that he will sell for $60 its just the basic light blue colored one but is it worth buying so i dont have to wait on shipping from another internet company?

Either that or just unhook your mbc. If u want to run more than stock than buy the turboxs, seems cheap to me.

I used a cheapo one that wasn't very accurate. This car has a TurboXS, they are fine.
