I'm thinking about getting a highflow cat for my 00 Civic. But I was told that my check engine light would come on, because the O2 sensor would get bad readings. So I would need a special O2 sensor? Is this true and if so were would I get one? Thanks!

By highflow cat im assuming cat back. Yes your check engine light will come on because the o2 sensor is reading a larger amount of exhaust. One thing you can do is buy a high flow catalytic converter. It's about 50/60 bucks off of ebay for a magnaflow. That should be alright.

No, I mean once I get my full exhaust done. Then I'll have a high flow cat put on. I was told that if I put on a hgh flow cat on, it would cause the check engine light to come on. Due to the exhaust coming through not really being filtered. Does this make any sense? Thanks, please help!

yes, the cel will come on. so either stay with a normal cat and o2 sensor or dont bother and get a test pipe with an o2 sim(o2simulator.com) and just change it back when inspection comes around

I live in Washington, so no one cares about emissions. I just don't want my c.e.l. to come on. Is there a O2 sensor that I can replace my stock ones with to prevent that?

if you dont have emissions and there is no visual check just get a test pipe. or you can get an O2 SIMULATOR from O2SIMULATOR.COM for your pointless high flow cat
