new shifter for 88 z24

hey i have an 88 z24 and the shifter in it is the thin piece of metal not the round one you thread on the knob to and i broke the top off cause the knob that came on it was pounded onto the shifter by the previous owner i was wondering if there were any after market short throws that you know of for my car or any swaps i can do to find a nicer shifter than this paper thin one but if not i found a site to make it a short throw and im halfway done on accident lol thanks
