:banghead:
If there is anyone that can help me with this term paper, I greatly need it (to graduate!!!)
I know little about Fords and have been given the topic of this:
2004 Ford F250/F350 Diesel fuel system
I have a lot of info about HEUI and the PowerStroke itself, what I need is ANY info PCM on controls (of fuel sys.) and system voltages.
PLEASE HELP???

The EEC operates at 12V input (chassis power), the sensors are all "3 wire" (power, ground, signal) for more accurate readings and fault detection, the HEUI system is 110-120 Vdc, in this way you get the power (watts = V x A) you need w/o using really thick wires.
The ECM takes signals from various sensors:
Temperatures, pressures, throttle position, vehicle speed, engine speed and then calculates load. From load and temp, it "looks up" the appropriate fuel and timing settings. Fuel is controlled by how long the injector is energized, and timing by WHEN it is energized.
The HEUI injector uses pressurized oil (850 - 3000 PSI) to push fuel which comes to the injector at medium pressure, into the engine under a piston in the injector at very high pressures 5500-21,000 PSI.

How much do you want? Send me your e mail and I will send info when I get a free minute. If I get it tonight I can get it this evening or early tomorrow. Have access to Ford manuals.
