A couple of days ago my a/c stopped blowing cool air and my compressor didn't kick on. So i added some freon, but then discovered a leak at the connection between the evaporator and condensor. When i went to tighten it the leak became worse. Eventually it ran out of freon again and stopped leaking. I'm just wondering what might be wrong. PLEASE HELP!!!!
Ok i figured out what the cylinder is, its the receiver dryer. The pipe that is cracked is going from the condensor to the top of the receiver, can i just by a new pipe ( if so where can i find one) or will i have to replace the entire receiver?

Take the connection apart and replace whatever type of seal is damaged in the connection. Once you have it corrected, add freon and lubricant oil as needed.

Thanks man. Just one more question though. How do you tell which seal is damaged.

Factory replacement parts. toyotapartsales.com Chris and Barb King. Great sevice and prices. I use them all the time. In regards to seals. Whenever you open an a/c line, fitting, or component that has a seal just replace it with a new one. They are cheap compared to recharging your system again.
