Best thing to get surface scratches out?

So I'm at the grocery store getting 160lbs of rocksalt for the water softener and come out to see a shopping cart at the rear of my driver's side of the truck. I was parked in the 2nd slot - literally next to the handicapped slot across the "street" away from the store.

Some lazy-ass f*ck was too lazy to walk their cart back to the store or to the cart corral, so they left it (I'm assuming) next to the vacant slot they just pulled out of. It rolled down towards my truck and left a nice set of 6" scratches on my driver's door and the jump door behind it. :angryfire

Had I seen the bastard, I'd have buffed them out with his face.

I'm fairly certain simply washing the truck's not going to make them go away. I've also got a key mark on the passenger's door from a similar f*ck who felt I parked a little too close to his side of the line (nevermind the fact that I was in the middle of my slot). That one's a little bit deeper in the clearcoat.

:angryfire :angryfire :angryfire

Some people just need to be shot for f*cking with your ride.

In the past for swir marks and light scratches i have used Swirl and haze remover made by the wax shop and will be picking up some again to do my silverado in a week or so. I will also be finishing it off with a coat of liquid glaze clear coat wax which ithought was made by the wax shop as well but can not find it right now. When i do find it in a store i will post who makes it.

Thanks, I'd appreciate it.

I should say that prior to these two f*cktards scratching my truck, it had no scratches (other than two on the tailgate).

Amazing considering it was a four year old used truck when I purchased it.

Can you tell I'm still a little pissed about it?

Tell me which stores, RR or Austin, you got them from and I will make sure to avoid them from now on.

Heh. The HEB on Louis Henna (across from Dell HQ) is where the coward keyed my passenger door.

I got the driver's side cart scratches today at the Albertson's on Gattis School in Round Rock.

Not the same day mind you. I think had that happened, I might've climbed the clock tower with a high-powered rifle. :naughty:

I'm the truck at the O'Conner HEB that is on the far end of the lot in no man's land and still attracts other cars to park next to me. Why can't the idiots figure out that we don't want to be next to or even near them??? :killbarne

While talking to a buddy (fellow Silvy owner and guy who lurks here but never posts, the :loser: ;) ) about how to get these out he said he always parked way out in no-man's land and took multiple spots to keep things like this from happening.

I never gave it much thought when I saw a buch of trucks parked out in BFE a few slots apart out by Sears at Lakeline. Now I know why. Guess when the wife and kids and I go out there and take the truck, I'll have to drop her, the 4yr old, the 16-month old, and stroller at the door and double back to the designated "don't ding my truck" parking area and hoof it back.

As to your question:
1. People are stupid.
2. Society's degraded into a "me me me" mentality where no one gives a flip about anyone else.

If you're parking way out in BFE, start parking in the middle of two slots, maybe they' get the point?

When taking two spots you do it backwards and at an angle so others won't have as much opportunity to get parallel and get the door shot opportunity. That also gives your truck the "Poser" look. Maybe that is why the others are attracted, they are drawen in by "The Look".
