How does one go about removing the oil filler tube from the valve cover?

where the dip stick goes? There is one bolt that holds it in place. Remove it then pull and twist. It is in there good, so watch your knuckles.

No, the big opening sticking out of the passenger's side valve cover where you pour oil

ahhh, I haven't had to remove that. Just taking a guess, but you might have to take the cover off and see what holds it on from underneath. It may just twist off or have some sort of gromet that holds it in place. Like I said though, just a guess.
