how do you clear the codes on a 93 deville.

usually disconnecting the battery for 20 minutes will do it.

20 minutes!!?? How about 20 SECONDS.
Or you can do it from the comfort of the front seat of your Cadillac by going into diagnostics.
With the key ON and engine OFF, press OFF and WARM (or whatever button raises the temp) simutaniously on the HVAC. When diagnostics comes up, keep tapping FAN DOWN to scroll thru the menu til you get to CLEAR CODES. Press FAN UP, and you're done. Press OFF to exit. Or turn off the ignition.
