Start then stalling on 86 Z

Car will not idle without stalling. If I keep RPM above 1000, will not stall. Could this be a faulty EGR valve? Help would be appreciated.

i dont know...

but it is probably something to do with basic maitenance. check plugs, wires, air filter, fuel filter...

if all that is good i would start looking at sensors...TPS to start with.

yeah check all the basic stuff and then look at the aac/idcv .and tps, but until u get it fixed as a TMPORARY FIX u can turn the adjusting screw to raise your idle so its drivable for the time being, but only as a TEMPORARY FIX so u can drive it to go get the parts to fix it, and then make sure to turn it back when changing things so to get accurate results, count how many 1/4 turns u turn the crew and then turn it back the same amount when your finished

i think its the mass air flow sensor my car does that same crap

it does it dependent on weather conditions sometimes though and i threw a code for maf so run your ECU codes and see what you get


well im gonna take that control box under the dash out that controls the dash and gauges cause tonight as i started my car to go home my accceleration meter worked for the every first time since i have had my car and the compass but went out on the highway and dont come back on lol so i bet its got some bad connections or something ..
