'94'Probe no Spark

Need help finding out why car has no spark? Turns over,dash gauges work, it's not timing belts. Have spark through distributer (I think). going down the road and the car died while in motion. ??????? Please help with any possible ideas or solutions. THANKS

Are you sure you have a no spark problem? If you have spark at the distributor you should have spark. You van check some fuses under the hood and at least one fuse in the inside fuse box could lead to this. You first must determine if it is a no spark or no fuel problem.

if you have fuel and good timing but no spark 93-94 probes are notorious for having bad distributors so 10 to 1 its your disty!

i have had to replace my distributor about 5 to 6 times now.....im sick and tired of this car...the engineers behind all of this suck!

Its a simple 20.00 lifetimee war fix. Every car has its problems in design but blame that one on Mistu they made that part.
Using a GM HEI Module you can fix the problem and have a lifetime part.
Its very easy here is a link to the guide:

Use the right forums (Probetalk, mx6.com and Probe-Enthusiast) and you will not only get parts cheap but will never have a huge problem again thats not solved within a few hours.
These are very simple and great cars. You just have to find the info you need ^-^

Does this work for a 4 cylinder?
