Side-Mirror Modicifcation

Recently I was going down the road in my '97 blazer, slid on ice, turned sideways, and flipped on my driver side. When I did this, I did the least damage by smashing only my rear driver door, and my driver side mirror. (I'm freakin' lucky...) I recently got a door from a junkyard, but I am having troubles with the mirror.
Prior to the accident, I didn't like my mirrors on my '97. They wobbled ALL THE TIME. It really started to annoy me. After smashing off my mirror, I was looking for a replacement when I found the newer style blazer mirrors. I was told that they work so much better than the other ones; wobbling less and looking more rugged. So I picked up a pair of them off of ebay, one for each side. They fit on the vehicle with no problem. The problem that I now face is having to connect the damn things. They ARE power mirrors. I had the power mirrors before, however they had a different connection with them. None of the colors are the same on either connector. If anybody can help me; telling me which wires to connect, that would be great. I would really like to have my power mirrors back, but if I can't, oh well. Thanks for looking and I hope someone understands what I am talking about!

P.S. These mirrors also offer a heated feature, that was not available on my previous mirrors. Is it possible to connect them to the rear defroster or something to make them work? Thanks again in advance!

There shouldn't be a problem with wiring the heat to the deforst switch.
As for the connectors I wouldn't know what to say... can you just splice them together and just try it out diffrent combonations???

I'm sorry I can't help you out much in the wiring, best thing to do is take the voltmeter and look for a +12v when you push the buttons.

My mirrorrs wobble too.. How much did you pay for the new mirrors, and where did you get them from?

I paid $90.00 for both mirrors out the door. (including s+h, tax and whatnot) I got them off of ebay. If you want, I could tell you the seller I went through. They were cheap, but the same quality as stock. You can't tell the difference. Plus, you get $5.00 off shipping if you buy a pair.

Yea let us know, I have a few cracks on my drivers side and it wobbles all over. Doesn't seem like too bad of a deal

If you want to find these mirrors on ebay, search the following:

For a driver side mirror:
99-04 S10 SONOMA JIMMY S15 POWER HEATED MIRROR DRIVER
Item #: 7970065942

For a passenger side mirror:
99-04 S10 JIMMY BLAZER S15 POWER HEAT MIRROR PASSENGER
Item #: 7969788355

Do copy and paste the description that I gave you into the search menu to get the exact same item I purchased from the same seller. (The item number will change soon.)

Don't forget, if you purchase both of them, take your $5.00 off your shipping.
I hope this helps!

P.S. I tried using different combinations with the wires. I pulled out my 12v test light, and I know what wire from my switch goes up, down, right and left. However when I connect them, the mirror won't move. I know some people have done this before, so I know it works. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

There may be a grounding wire you have to connect. I don't think the motor is self-grounding.

Will these also fit a 98 Blazer? When does the heated mirror function actually turn on? When your defrost is on? I have never been able to tell....
