Just wondering, howcome the 305s got 5 speeds and there are virtually no manuals for the 350s 87-92?

Yea I had heard that before, but how did they put standards in the old muscle cars that made great amounts of torque and horsepower in the 60s and they couldn't do it in the 80s-90s?

Didn't the 350's in the Iroc's had like 345lbs of torque and the 305 had like 300lbs?

The 305s can break the T5. BW wouldnt allow GM to put it behind their 350s. Some of the hp and torque numbers are close between the 2 engines but the 350 would definatly eat that thing up.

Thats just silly because the 5.0 Mustangs used the BW T-5 and they were factory rated with the same HP as the 5.7 IROC, and I believe around the same torque (both cars get their massive torque from the factory installed roller camshafts, and the Mustang had factory tubular headers).... and there are plenty of 5.0s with close to or over 200,000 miles and still pounding the heck out of the T-5 5-speed.... I know, I've owned two 5.0 GTs in the past, and now currently own a 1987 L98 5.7 IROC and a 1990 G92 5.0 5-speed IROC... (btw, my '90 5.0 G92 5-speed IROC came factory with more HP than my '87 5.7 L98 auto IROC)

There is also a "World Class T5" that was equipped in the turbo SVO Mustangs, but the 5.0 just used the standard T5.... The same T5 that was used in the Camaros.

Sorry, I'm wrong.... The Mustang upgraded to the World Class in '85. The Camaro didn't upgrade untill '88. Then the Mustang again upgraded the T5 in '90...
