Ticking Issues

Posting for someone else. I have a 92 Eagle Talon 2.0L Non-Turbo, Manual tranny. I was having lifter ticking issues that were driving me crazy so i followed the vfaq guide to cleaning my lifters to see if that would help. So i ripped apart the valve cover, removed the rockers and lifters, and cleaned them with some brake cleaner... i re-oiled them and put everything back together just the way i found it. I #'d all the spark plug wires so i know that they are in the same order and everything. Now here's the kicker.. it won't start?!? it cranks and cranks but won't turn over? i have no idea what the problem is? i have a feeling it's something electrical or the timing? but i know i didn't mess with anything but the lifters, i even used some gasket sealer over the top of my like new valve gasket to get a good seal. if anyone has any suggestions on how to get my car started.. i would really appreciate it. thanks alot

double check all of your electrical connections. did you put the sparkplugs back in? are you sure it's not something simple like that? double check everything again and again.
