My buddy put 6x9's but it was a tight fit, and it didnt sound all that good.

6x9 are for the rear deck

Yeah, 6x9's in the front are a little much, but he had a 4 channel amp running to them and he had more treble then you could ever need.

Another problem. I'm not about treble. For me its all bass. I'll let my tweeters take care of the rest...when I put them in.

Yeah, I think the only part about having so much bass it kills your ear drums is the fact knowing that people either like it or either pissed off.

Either way, you know that everyone knows that your there....

ive got a set of 6.5 jbl and tweeters in the front door...but thats about as big as you can go for the front without ruining the sound quality

My Ideal audio set up:

Subs: 2 12"s perferable audiobahn because i have had good experiance with them, and I hate 10's and 15's are to big to fit in a Cavalier.

Amps: Amps that are powerful enough to power my subs if not a tad more. Rockfords are nice, but Rockford amps are expensive.

Sound: I would like an Infinity Kappa full range component system. The whole thing. the sub, mid-range, tweeters.

Wiring: The Stinger 0 ga. The wire is thick and cool looking. It might be over kill, but hey, its my ideal audio setup.

Deck: I like clarions. Clarions are nice, otherwise Alpine is great.

Two JL Audio W7s (I could also go with Kicker Solobaric L7 or Audiobahn Immortal Series subs)
Two Audiobahn 2000watt amps (one for each sub) running 0 ohms

Kicker K69 and Kicker K57 coaxil 2ways inside.
JL Audio tweeters running off of my deck
Kenwood eXcelon KDC X959 cd player.
I may even throw a changer in it for shits and giggles

I also want to replace all the windows in the car with plexiglass so I won't blow them, and dynamate the whole car. Then put that bitch in shows.

Thats a nice setup, i forget about the cap. and the dynamat. there is a thing called fatmat and it is just as good. I have a 500 sq./f roll of it that i have yet to put on. its a good deal.

I don't really like kenwood decks, i had one and it was a peice.

I used to have 2 rockford amps running for each sub, it works well. it was really loud. I blew out my real window twice.

My kenwood has been the best deck i've had so far. I'm in love with it! Especially since I can store mp3s, still images, and even a 5.3second movie on it. I can name my cds ( I forgot how many ), or even songs. Its nice.

Yeah, Kenwoods look nice, but I really don't like Kenwood anything. amps, subs, decks, etc.
