XM Radio in an '01

I have a friend who has a newer Monte Carlo with XM Radio. Her stereo looks exactly like mine. Is it possible to have XM on mine too? Can the dealer re-program my stereo. If not I want XM but I want it to look factory. I guess I could buy a factory XM ready stereo off eBay. Is any of this possible?
