So i've been meaning to primer the entire car for awhile now, but my two friends from school are doing the same, so i decided not to. So I cruised to walmart and Picked up 4 cans of Army Green, and 1 can of some Tan color, and some black primer and went to work. Its not done yet, but its damn close, so heres what went down today.

I'm not really digging the tan roof too much, so I think im gonna either redo it in green, or maybe black. and I still have some more stencils to spay on but I want the paint to finish drying first, since the numbers on the side didnt take well to the paint, im gonna redo that too.
Thanks for looking guys. I'll update more tomorrow when its done.

Nice, I like the green a lot but the tan roof is kinda strange.
Don't do your roof in black, that would be gay gay gay gay gay! :icon16:

WHAT THE SHAT???
why oh why? It seems like maybe you are going for an army theme? Then why did you use gloss green instead of flat???? It looks pretty bad.
Stenciling looks pretty badass though!

Its army green you deuce and it doesnt look as glossy in person. And I really dont think it looks that bad, dick.
CivicHB: I was thinking that too, im not sure yet, I have to decide by tomorrow though.
Give me more opinions on what I should do with the roof guys cause its definetly NOT staying tan.
Thanks for the comments, possitive and negative.

Is that spray painted? If so then why does it look so good? I thought spray painting cars was crap. It looks pretty decent though. Also how long would that last since/if it is spray painted?

That's looks very intersting, and actually in a good way. I especially like the markings on the side.

yeah its spraypaint. I guess it looks halfway decent cause I took my time. I still have lots of work to do on it, like sand down some runs and respray them. I have no idea how long it will last, since spray paint is cheap and I can just touch it up if it gets scratched.
I like how the side marker looks too, Im gonna install the other one tomorrow.
Keep the commnets coming!

when i saw the first picture, i wanted to reach through the screen and slap you. but... scrolling down, i noticed for some reason i kinda liked it. still dont know why, maybe just cuz its different. personally, i would have kept the black, but hey, its not my car. im glad your doing something against the grain and going with your own theme. unique to say the least. as for the roof, i say just paint it green like the rest of the car. black roof's are gay right SiZ?

When I was reading and he said he got army green, tan, and black I was like OMG he painted his Rex camo like all the rednecks here do. I like it though. Like you said, the tan roof has to go.

Vlad, you touch my car and I'll release the hounds on your ass.
Im not really too worried on it holding up on the highway, its rustoleum or however you spell it so it should hold up decent, and the beauty of rattle can jobs is if it gets scratched or chipped all you have to do is sand it down and spray a few coats on it again.
As I was doing it and everything was taped up and covered with paper I was questioning myself on how it was going to look, but after I cleaned up and took all the tape and everything off it really started to grow on me. I like it, and thats all that really matters.

I like the green. The idea about painting the moldings and pillars black is interesting. I've been wanting to redo my car in a darker green. Don't they make camoflouge colored valve covers for B16s? That would be interesting...

first off, with the b*tching you did when others used rattle can...i would have to say those people owe you the same replies
I HATE RATTLE CAN. i sure hope you never decided to paint your car with real paint. our black si went off to the body shop since that dumb broad's ins paid for her damage. the body shop told us we could supply our own replacement parts. tj's pile of parts he called a car is still at the wrecking yard. lucky for us (not really) he had rattle can the whole entire bumper 3 different times. real car paint won't lay over rattle can, it will bubble back up. last week jer got to spend a day and i got to spend a day with laquer thinner and scotch brite removing all the rattle can. as long as it took for just the bumper, i don't want to imagine trying to strip the car from bumper to bumper.
not diggin' the tan roof, black wouldn't look much better. go for a green roof and then other parts back to black as was previously mentioned by other members

Yeah the paint will be hard to remove, did u sand the black paint b4 u repainted it? If not the green paint wont hold to the black paint and will just flake off especially when on the parkway. But nice color....oh and do your moldings black and your roof green.

Yeah I know Ami, I was thinking the same thing, but my car looked like complete ass before and it looks better now. I dont plan on painting it for a long long time since im in college and don't have that kind of money. Besides I've got a bunch of friends that would help me out if I ever do decide to paint the car.

If you decide to paint it just buy a sand blaster and go to work.
