7.3 glow plugs

I have a 97 f350 with 7.3 and the glow plugs will not work till i jump the soliniod for the glow plugs, no voltage getting to the soliniod at all,what do i check?

Have you checked your distributor? If so and all looks good, i might tell you to check your plug wires. Let me know.

Um it is a DIESEL, no sparkplugs OR wires.....
If there is no power to the solenoid (relay) big wire, then you have blown a maxi-fuse, if there is no power to the small wire, you have blown a glow-plug relay fuse. The relay is grounded (small wire) by the ECM when it sees the coolant/oil temp below a certain threashold. The glowplugs are NORMALLY on for a few seconds even in 90*F weather, unless the engine is up to operating temp, before and during start-up.
Check for power to the one small terminal (key on), and one large terminal (battery power). If they are both good, the ECM is not grounding the relay when it should (I have never seen this failure mode).

Sounds like a fuse, should be in the "under hood" fuse box near the left hood hinge..... but I don't remember for sure.
