95 Tahoe Keyless Entry Schematic

I am looking for a wiring schematic and location of the receiver for the keyless entry.
I have to stand within about one foot of the vehicle to get the signal to connect. I have replaced the batteries in the remotes.
Is there a way to get better reception? lengthen the antenna? How is all this tied together?
