my msd ignition went bad the other day, did i hook something up wrong? positive and negative hooked up to SS coil, Old coil removed, power and ground were hooked up right.. was there anything else i needed to remove? or do you think it was just a defective ignition box?

call up msd, they have great customer service.

I used to have a problem with my 6a box squeeling at certain rpm called them, they said to send it in. They fixed it and sent it back.

I use the SCI with rev and never had a problem, expect for a bad connection. Did you cut the wires needed for a 4 cylinder?

You can always send it into MSD.

as long as your grounding is good no. I also ground mine on the body, right where the resister box used to be. Call MSD and talk to their technical support.

You don't need one anyway. The MSD coil is good enough. Hondas ignition is more then good enough to through what every you want at it.

msd is the shit send in the box and they well fix it and if honda was that good at what they do than we wouldn't want to upgrade. i work at a honda shop and all we do is build honda's and every car there we used either the sci msd or the digtal stuff and we always use on every car is the aem ems its the bomb.. soo theres what i think hope it helps and i felt my car pull harder win i put msd on my car

It's proven that a stock Honda ignition can support up to 250HP. The last thing you want on forced induction is a spark blown out, MSD sparks 6 or 8, i forget.

My igniton box also grounds to metal.

you can find the lowest prices at walmart, right by the apc mufflers, the chevy altezzas, and the chrome spinner hubcaps!

no, just don't wast your $
if you don't plan on makeing a big bad ass 300hp civic then don't bother. maybe get the plug wires and a cap, the exsternal coil is ok to. but there is no need for the MSD box!!!

Truthfully I am looking into a B16 replacing internals and boosting. But that's about a year away and I don't quite know how much Hp it'll run. I'm just gathering parts right now.
