A/C troubleshooting

I'de like to pin down why my A/C does'nt work can i do it @ home ?

Ok i got the car from my uncle and i have no clue why it does'nt work. when i turn it on in the car the blower blows air but the compressor doe'snt kick in.

If i were to not have gaz in the a/c how could i bypass the switch that disables the compressor ?

any other ideas of how i could pinpoint the problem ?

If you're low on refrigerant, you can burn up the compressor if you override it. Get it gage and check the pressure. Or take it someplace and have them check it for you.
