Well I just bought my first BMW. It's a 87 325 is. Does anyone have recommendations on tires. I live in Michigan. We have bad roads. Any other advice would be appreciated. thanks all.

Welcome to the club, I just joined a couple of weeks ago myself, after getting a '92 325i. As far as tires, I don't think anyone has worse roads than my hometown of Jersey City NJ- he he! I'm about to pick up a set of Kumho ECSTA ASX all seasons, but since I don't have them yet, I cannot comment. The only advice I would have is to try and keep the side profile fairly high if you're worried about potholes, or buy tires with Run Flat technology.

You are going to want to look at getting snow tires as well, I have used Blizzaks for the past 3 years and it makes it possible to actually drive in the snow.

i have never run snow tires, nor do i really need to, but i have heard that Hakkapeliitta tires work really well in the snow and ice.

they are made in northern europe and they get lots of snow.

i have also read that run-flats dont handle very well. this is particularly true to the new run flats that BMW has been putting on its newer sedans.
