Know nothing about clutches

Alright friends, I need help.
I don't know much about clutches, and I believe my 1998 GSR (80k miles) is having clutch problems. How long does a stock clutch last? Cause I bought this car from the original owner, and the clutch has never been replaced.
The problem feels like this. I pull out the clutch, it doesn't even think about starting to engage til about 1-1.5 inches from the end. It also feels like it has 2 engagement points. The first one grips at about 2 inches from the end, and it doesn't do anything til the 1.5 or 1 inches. I keep almost stalling the car because I don't give it enough gas. This never used to be a problem, but I have to rev to 2.5k in order to start without stuttering.
If I am going to have to change the clutch, can you recommend a brand that will be similar to OEM cause this is my daily driver. I am willing to get a performance clutch as long as it feels similar to my stock one, and I can drive smoothly with it. I drove a supra with a race clutch and hated it... it was either on or off... it was a 6 puck clutch I know that.
If I am going to replace the clutch then I'm going to think about putting a lightened flywheel in. Is this going to cause problems with daily driving?
Anyway, I'm really lost here, and I would really appreciate any help I can get. Thank you my friends!

It sound like your press plate may be going. My ls has about 106,421, on the org clutch, but i don't think the owner before me drove very hard. I am not sure if ower clutch pedal has an ajustment screw. But if it does try that.
As for a clutch, if you want that stock feel get the street ACT, and maybe a nice alum flywheel. I have the 2600 on my mitsu and it's kinda hard for daily driving.

The only adjustments to the pedal I can make are pedal height, and pedal freeplay.
How's the flywheel affect normal driving?

none, it's just take the motor less hp to turn it. And it seems to let the RPM stay longer. Like a streetbike. The RPM dosent drop as fast in between shifts.
